In the Observation Unit your responsibilities will center on keeping a steady comprehensive watch over patients who require short-term monitoring as they transition from acute care to discharge or transfer. You will perform continuous nursing assessments neuro checks vital sign surveillance wound and IV management pain control coordination medication reconciliation and timely escalation of concerns to the attending physician. Youll collaborate closely with physicians case managers and ancillary staff to drive safe dispositions and efficient throughput while documenting care in the electronic health record with precision and clarity. The role offers clear pathways for professional growth within the specialtyopportunities to develop expertise in acuity assessment observation protocols and care coordination with access to certifications on-site education and mentorship from experienced leaders.
