Job Summary
The Maintenance Engineer participates in managing and maintaining all broadcast and technology related equipment within the facility.
- Help implement new technologies and technical infrastructure for the facility.
- Participate in engineering and other technical projects
- Evaluate select install service and maintain facility broadcast equipment and information technology systems
- Work closely with management and co-workers to ensure company objectives are being met
- Basic understanding of FCC rules and regulations.
- Other duties as needed
- Salary - $20.00 to $25.00 hourly
Requirements & Skills:
- 2 years previous broadcast engineering experience.
- Broadcast equipment repair and maintenance skills required including experience with the repair and maintenance of video cameras video routers ingest and playout servers newscast automation equipment.
- Possess superior troubleshooting skills.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
- Ability to meet deadlines prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work extended hours as needed may include overnight and weekends
- Be initiative-taking desire to learn new skills consistent with good engineering/IT practices
