Job Summary
JOB DESCRIPTION
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collecting and registering biological samples and associated data according to researchers requests and Biobank needs.
- Performing specific technical procedures of the Fluid Node: obtaining and fractionating serum plasma cells and other biological samples.
- Performing and collaborating in Biobank procedures: preparation processing preservation and distribution of samples.
- Assisting in the management of sample and service requests.
- Maintenance and quality control of laboratory equipment and materials.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCIE
- Holding a Higher Technician degree in Clinical and Biomedical Laboratory or a similar qualification.
- Demonstrated intermediate level of English.
- Proven previous experience in handling human samples.
- Willingness to work in the area of document management.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Immediate availability.
- Previous experience in processing blood samples and other derivatives will be an asset.
- Previous experience with databases records and information management software will be an asset.
- Previous experience in handling frozen samples will be an asset.
- Previous experience in biobanking and/or research support services will be an asset.
WHAT WE OFFER
- 6 months contract
- Date of incorporation: estimated start date: March 2026
- Gross annual remuneration inherent to the square objected to this call will be fixed based on the experience provided and the skills of the candidate distributed in 12 payments.

The Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) is a public research centre located in Badalona. Its main objective is to increase scientific knowledge in order to transform it into solutions to improve the health and medical care of patients and the community.
The Institute is associated with one of the major university hospitals in the Barcelona area the Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital and is part of the Can Ruti biomedical campus. IGTP is a CERCA centre and is also accredited as a centre of excellence by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III (ISCIII) and is in charge of coordinating the management and scientific strategy of the campus working in close collaboration with the other centres.
