Project summary:
ISMED-CLIM is a Horizon Europe project that aims to test and demonstrate transformative solutions to build resilience to health risks associated with climate change. The project brings together regions local authorities communities and policymakers along with clinical environmental and social scientists and information technology (IT) experts to develop and pilot technological and digital solutions to mitigate climate-related health risks and strengthen healthcare system resilience in the Mediterranean biogeographical region.
These solutions will be evaluated in real-world settings through a randomized clinical trial involving older adults. The project is coordinated by the University of Cyprus and involves 27 partners across the Mediterranean region.
The selected candidate will contribute to the fieldwork of a randomized clinical trial designed to test solutions aimed at protecting older adults with hypertension from heatwaves and air pollution in Barcelona.
Main responsibilities and duties:
Contribute to the fieldwork of a randomised controlled trial testing solutions designed to protect older adults from heatwaves and air pollution in Barcelona.
Operate calibrate and maintain monitoring devices.
Ensure accurate and timely data recording in compliance with study protocols and data protection regulations.
Identify and report any protocol deviations or fieldwork incidents to the research team.
Coordinate with other members of the research team to ensure smooth study implementation.

Ability to interact professionally and sensitively with study participants.
