The Site Lead Lineworker plays a key role in guiding and supporting field crews as they deliver construction maintenance and reactive work that keeps our network running strong. Youll champion safe work practices mentor and develop your team and use modern technologies to help drive smarter more efficient ways of working. This is a hands-on leadership role where youll take ownership of materials equipment and reporting ensuring your team is set up for success every day.

Key responsibilities:

  • Installing altering and maintaining Evoenergys distribution network for customer requested servicing works
  • Lead a crew to safely and efficiently performing electrical line work activities involving the construction and maintenance of Evoenergys Electricity Network.
  • Construction servicing and maintenance of the overhead and underground electricity network
  • Monitor and evaluate performance of teams and individuals responding proactively to performance matters and escalating issues to the Program Delivery Lead or Team Lead as appropriate.
  • Interpret available information / technical manuals using discretion experience and judgement to solve problem
  • Fault response and fault rectification works.
  • Provide clear guidance and instruction and manage performance and attendance thereby driving successful achievement of individual and team KPIs (across the Program of Work EHSQ Leadership and cost / budget).

Our ideal candidate:

  • You take active steps to ensure the safety of your colleagues and our community championing a safe inclusive and respectful environment
  • Certificate III in ESI - Distribution Overhead
  • Hold a current ACT motor vehicle licence (MR) or its acceptable equivalent.
  • High Risk licence EWP
  • Demonstrated understanding of the operation and maintenance of electricity network infrastructure and field operations and high level knowledge of construction standards
  • Previous successful work in field on construction and/or maintenance of network infrastructure.
