Job Summary
TDS Control Plane team is seeking an experienced and proven Software Development Engineer (SDE) to lead medium to large cross-functional strategic initiatives that support Regional flexibility goals. This is a unique opportunity for someone inspired by TDS core values and is interested in Amazons e-commerce foundation business to bring their whole self to the role.
Key job responsibilities
As an SDE you are responsible for setting a high bar throughout the software development and deployment lifecycle including design development documentation testing and operations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software and application development AWS technologies business judgment curiosity and superior written and verbal communication skills. He/she will work closely with the business and technical teams to analyze many non-standard and unique business problems and use creative problem solving to deliver results.
He/she will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity able to think big and be creative while paying careful attention to detail and will enjoy working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 3 years of Video Games Industry (supporting title Development Release or Live Ops) experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
