What youll do
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants tooperatein a business-facing role at an international company leading and executing our legal strategy. Besides strategy related work you will be hands-on with drafting contracts and negotiating a wide range of complex commercial agreements and more.
The role sits within the Finance department and is part of the Finance management team.You will haveclosecollaboration with the CFO andworkcrossfunctionallywithproduct development sourcing and other functions. You willalsoact asatrusted advisor to stakeholders and lead the Legal team including three direct reports. The teamis responsible forlegal IP trademarks compliance privacy and data protection (GDPR/DPO/HIPAA).
Theaim withthe legal function is to streamline and integrate it closer to the business whilemaintaininga smaller team size.
Most of your stakeholders are working from our Stockholm (Sweden) and Pittsburgh (US) offices and our aim is for you to spendthe majority ofyour time working from the Stockholm office with theoptionto work remotely.

Webelieve youhaveagoodunderstandingof technologyand how product development can haveimplicationsfrom rules and regulations.You have strong acumen for clear risk-versus-reward decisions foridentifyingthreats and opportunities and the social capabilities of a strong leader.Wethink youare greatatfosteringstrong relationships inside and outside your team andtranslatinglegal mattersintosimpleand clearwaysforstakeholders as well asmentoringyour team for growth.
Since abig part of our operation is situated in the US and Europehavinganunderstandingofglobal/USregulationsisconsideredamerit. We areactivelyworking withM&Aandwevaluesuchexperienceasa bonus.
Minimum qualifications
- LawdegreefromaSwedishor U.S law schoolor similar.
- At least 3 yearsof experienceinalegalleadershiprole including team management.
- Experience in developing and executing legal strategy as well as hands-on experience with complex commercial agreements.
