The Head of Transport & Trade Compliance (T&TC) is accountable for leading Sobis global transportation and trade compliance operations ensuring reliable compliant and efficient execution across daytoday activities. The role safeguards patient supply business continuity and regulatory compliance across transports of Drug Substance Drug Product Finished Goods clinical materials etc in line with GDP/GMP customs export control and international trade regulations.
Beyond running stable operations the role plays a key part in enabling change driving continuous improvement and preparing the organisation and network for increasing complexity. This includes navigating ambiguity finding pragmatic solutions for new products markets and evolving regulatory requirements and continuously strengthening ways of working in an increasingly complex global environment. The Head of T&TC is expected to challenge the status quo where needed while maintaining high standards of compliance service and operational stability.
The role is a senior leadership position within the Delivery leadership team with a strong focus on people leadership capability building and developing a resilient organisation prepared for future growth. It is also a key capability role with potential to take on broader responsibilities as the Delivery organisation evolves.
This is a hybrid position located at Sobis headquarters in Stockholm reporting directly to the Head of Delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Sobis global transport and trade compliance operations ensuring reliable execution and continuity of patient supply.
- Ensure compliance with GDP/GMP customs export control and trade regulations while enabling practical solutions in a changing global environment.
- Act as the escalation point for transport disruptions and compliance risks balancing speed stability and compliance.
- Drive performance management of logistics partners improving service quality cost and compliance.
- Lead coach and develop the global Transport & Trade Compliance team building capability to manage increasing complexity.
- Identify risks and improvement opportunities contributing operational insight to ongoing change and development initiatives.

- Experience leading global transport and trade compliance operations in a regulated pharmaceutical or life science environment with the ability to navigate ambiguity and challenge established ways of working.
- Solid understanding of GDP/GMP customs export control and international trade regulations combined with a pragmatic solutionoriented approach.
- Experience operating in complex global supply chains including temperaturecontrolled pharmaceutical logistics and evolving product or market requirements.
- Proven people leadership experience with the ability to build teams that can handle increasing complexity and change.
- Experience managing external logistics partners and driving performance through collaboration data and continuous improvement.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to drive continuous improvement
- Experience working with ERP/TMS systems (e.g. IFS or similar)
- Swedish language skills and experience with digitalisation or network optimisation are considered a plus.
