Job Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices as well as experience with accounting software and financial reporting. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for multiple clients - Process accounts payable and receivable including invoicing and payments - Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions - Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial reports - Assist with budgeting and forecasting - Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with tax filings - Communicate with clients to address any questions or concerns regarding their financial records - Collaborate with the accounting team to improve processes and procedures - Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and changes in accounting regulations Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field - Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting - Proficient in accounting software such as Quickbooks or Xero - Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy - Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance - Ability to work independently and as part of a team Contract Details: This is a full-time permanent position based in Cape Town South Africa.
