Job Summary
A well-regarded secondary school in Middlesbrough is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Music Teacher to join its Music Department. This is a full-time permanent role suitable for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are passionate about inspiring students and delivering high-quality music education.

The Role
The successful candidate will deliver engaging music lessons foster creativity and support students in developing their musical skills. Key responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering high-quality Music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 and where applicable Key Stage 5.
Teaching practical music skills including instrumental and vocal performance composition and music technology.
Assessing and monitoring student progress providing constructive feedback and reports.
Contributing to curriculum development lesson planning and resource management.
Supporting students to participate in concerts performances competitions and extracurricular music activities.
Maintaining a safe and inspiring music environment in line with health and safety regulations.
Candidate Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with strong subject knowledge in Music.
Practical experience in teaching a range of musical disciplines.
Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Commitment to student wellbeing and safeguarding.
