Job Summary

A well-established and forward-thinking secondary school in Stafford is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Science Teacher to join its successful Science Department. This is a full-time permanent role suitable for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are passionate about delivering high-quality science education.

The Role

The successful candidate will deliver engaging and challenging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 with potential Key Stage 5 teaching depending on specialism and experience. Responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum and examination specifications.

  • Encouraging curiosity analytical thinking and scientific investigation.

  • Preparing students for GCSE examinations and supporting strong academic outcomes.

  • Assessing tracking and reporting on student progress.

  • Contributing to curriculum development and departmental planning.

  • Supporting enrichment activities such as STEM clubs and science competitions.

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • Strong subject knowledge in Science (Biology Chemistry or Physics specialism desirable).

  • Excellent classroom management skills.

  • Ability to motivate and inspire students of varying abilities.

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.
