Our Administration Team provide outstanding customer care to patients and their families. Were looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to work on a full time basis alongside our established team of Administration staff in supporting the hospitals Admissions and Wards. This is a great role for an experienced and patient care focused individual.

As an Administration Officer your responsibilities will include performing a broad range of administration duties including:

Organise appointments and prepare admission paperwork

Conduct follow up requests and make reminder calls for visits

Maintain accurate and effective record management systems including preparation of medical records

Perform Health Fund Checks (as required)

Manage the collection of excesses/co payments

Coordinate with staff from other departments

Complete other clerical tasks such as data entry

Greet all patients and families

Manage a busy reception desk

Answer and redirect call

Handle enquires with a friendly and professional manner

Manage clerical and administrative responsibilities such as Private Practise billing

Maintain accurate and timely patient information data collection and processing of medical records

Essential Criteria:

Demonstrated experience in administrative tasks with customer focused approach

Proven flexibility and reliability

Excellent interpersonal and professional communication and liaison skills

Demonstrated written communication skills

Initiative and ability to problem solve

Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment

Strong attention to detail

Demonstrated ability to work within a team structure in a multi-disciplinary environment treats everyone with courtesy and respect respond positively to requests for assistance

Ability to use patient information and record systems and a commitment to patient confidentiality

Strong computer skills and willingness to learn and use patient management systems and databases

Desirable Criteria:

  • WebPas hospital system experience
  • Medical secretary experience

With 115 inpatient rehabilitation beds the hospital has been designed to promote rehabilitation through our inpatient programs.
