Job Summary

Job Title: Polysomnographic (Sleep) Technologist
Schedule: Full-Time (hours based on assigned shifts hospital sleep lab)
Compensation: $37.72 $55.98 per hour (union position; rate based on experience non-negotiable)

A healthcare organization is seeking a skilled Polysomnographic Technologist (Sleep Technician) to perform specialized sleep studies in a hospital sleep lab environment. This position offers a supportive workplace with excellent employee benefits including healthcare PTO and tuition assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform polysomnographic tests (PSGs) multiple sleep latency tests (MSLTs) and maintenance of wakefulness tests (MWTs) as ordered by physicians
Ensure punctual and consistent attendance at assigned job location
Follow standard precautions when exposed to blood and bodily fluids
Communicate effectively in person over the phone and in writing
Support patient care and safety during sleep study procedures
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of test results

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED
Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification
Minimum two (2) years of experience as a Sleep Technician in a hospital sleep lab
At least one (1) year of experience as a respiratory therapist in an acute hospital setting with RPSGT or SDS
Strong technical clinical and communication skills
Physical ability to perform duties in a hospital sleep lab environment
