Job Description:

The IT Manager Process Governance & Compliance (GRC) is responsible for overseeing IT project intake governance oversight and compliance with internal IT governance frameworks enterprise architecture standards security protocols and regulatory requirements. This role partners with governance committees enterprise architects cybersecurity teams and business stakeholders to ensure IT initiatives are compliant auditable and aligned with organizational strategy.

Key Responsibilities

IT Governance & Compliance

  • Enforce compliance with IT governance frameworks enterprise architecture standards security policies and regulatory requirements across all IT project requests

  • Prepare project intake packages for review by IT governance boards and steering committees

  • Develop review and maintain IT policies procedures and governance documentation

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation to support audits and regulatory compliance

  • Document and escalate suspected policy violations in accordance with IT governance procedures

  • Collect analyze and report IT governance and quality metrics

  • Support IT governance committees by preparing materials documenting meeting minutes and tracking action items

Project Intake & Review

  • Review project requests for completeness technical feasibility compliance risk and strategic alignment

  • Partner with enterprise architects cybersecurity and technical leads to validate solution feasibility and integration impact

  • Analyze business and technical requirements to determine scope clarity and IT impact

  • Support documentation of funding justifications risk assessments and compliance artifacts

Stakeholder Management & Facilitation

  • Serve as the primary IT contact for reviewing project requests and technology proposals

  • Facilitate meetings to refine project scope clarify requirements and define IT involvement

  • Act as liaison between business units and IT teams to align expectations and delivery timelines

  • Communicate project updates risks and changes to IT leadership and stakeholders

  • Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and implement improvements to IT intake governance and evaluation processes

  • Develop templates guidelines and training materials to improve quality of project submissions

  • Draft and update policies procedures and governance documentation within defined timelines

Required Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Information Technology Operations Management Business Administration Communications or related field

  • Minimum 3 5 years of experience in IT Governance Risk & Compliance (GRC) IT PMO or IT governance/process management

  • Strong knowledge of IT governance frameworks SDLC cybersecurity standards and regulatory compliance

  • Demonstrated experience preparing governance documentation project intake packages and compliance artifacts

  • Proven ability to analyze technical and functional requirements for policy and regulatory compliance

  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organizational time management and documentation skills

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project management experience

  • Experience in public sector or regulated environments

  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks (NIST HITRUST NDAA)

  • Experience negotiating contracts

  • Experience leading teams or workgroups

  • Continuous improvement / process improvement experience

MUST HAVE SKILL-
  • Developing review and maintenance of IT policy and procedure documentation.
  • Facilitate communication and training related to IT policy requirements reporting resources and compliance protocols.
  • Escalating and documenting suspected policy violations in accordance with established IT procedures
  • Solid understanding of IT governance software development lifecycles (SDLC) and regulatory compliance (e.g. data privacy cybersecurity standards.
