Essential Job Functions
Provides leadership for the academic division through effective strategic decisions and allocates resources according to the strategic plan.
Effectively manages all budgets within the division providing guidance to program directors to minimize loss and maximize revenue while maintaining sensitivity to the quality of educational initiatives.
Oversees any and all accreditation for the division.
Develops and maintains effective working relationships with Directors faculty and adjunct faculty within the division fostering effective communication and encouraging a collaborative style of governance.
Develops and maintains an effective working relationship with the other Academic Deans as well as the Dean of Students working closely together to assure that student needs are being met students are being treated fairly student satisfaction is high and students are being held to the standards expected of an NMC graduate.
Develops and maintains an effective working relationship with faculty of the college to ensure that shared governance faculty integrity core curriculum integrity and academic quality are all maintained.
Maintains an effective collaborative relationship with the Vice President for Academic Affairs actively participates in the decision-making process for policies and procedures and is supportive of the strategic direction adopted by Academic Affairs.
Works closely with College personnel to continually improve the curricular quality of the courses offered in the division.
Provides structure to contribution reviews within the division including constructive performance evaluations and effective goal setting while assuring alignment with the goals of the College.
Manages change effectively.
Keeps the needs of students in mind as central to all decisions and delivers our nursing curriculum effectively.
Maintains a working knowledge of advances in teaching and learning and works with faculty and staff to further teaching effectiveness within the Nursing division.
Is active in the field of Nursing through scholarship and/or service.
Develops relationships with key constituents within the community develops strong collaborative relationships and acts as the face of NMC Nursing to other colleges universities and health care organizations.
Performs other related duties as assigned by the Vice President for Academic Affairs.
Demonstrates effective interpersonal and team skills.
Delivers service to College and community.
Schedule:
