Position Summary
Career Readiness Learning Objectives Career and Self Development: The TGIF Assistant will obtain notable professional skills while working with community partners campus ministry staff and student leaders in creating a place of worship and prayer for the greater student body. Leadership: The Student Coordinator for TGIF Assistant will develop organizational skills event planning and execution skills as well as team formation and team building skills. Teamwork: The TGIF Assistant will work with the TGIF Team to provide all needed preparations for these services. Position Summary The TGIF Assistant will work directly with the Director of Campus Ministry to plan and lead TGIF (Thank God Its Friday). As a student employee this position will also assist in the recruiting and retaining of student participants in the TGIF and Worship Team. This position will schedule/coordinate musician and vocalist participation as well as participate in the TGIF services in an as needed capacity. Essential Functions of this Position: Prepare and print music needed for TGIF worship. Prepare slides for TGIF events. Other duties as needed beyond the current scope of TGIF student leaders.
Physical Demands
Physical Demands Candidate must be able to meet the physical demands required to perform and to lead within a chapel music ministry setting.
Required Qualifications
Required Qualifications Must possess the general knowledge of contemporary worship music. Must have experience in preparing music for a music ministry team: instrumentalists accompanists and vocalists. Must be familiar with the operations and preparation for TGIF Minimum GPA of 2.50
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications A qualified candidate should have experience with TGIF (preferably both) and be able to attend services.
