Salary Range:

4 years of experience: $87700 - $115000

6 years of experience: $101900 - $135000

These ranges reflect what BNSF Railway reasonably expects to pay for this position based on the roles level scope and responsibilities. Final compensation and position level will be determined by factors such as job-related skills experience and relevant education or addition to base pay and bonus eligibility BNSF offers a comprehensive benefits package.

BNSFs Marketing team serves as a primary contact for all BNSF customers working to make the shipping experience as easy and seamless as possible. From onboarding new customers to handling rate and service requests to answering billing questions the Marketing team is focused on building strong customer relationships and ensuring effective communication throughout the shipping process. The team is organized into several critical business units to cater to diverse customer needs and industry demands: Agriculture and Energy Consumer Products and Industrial products alongside specialized units for Customer Support Forecasting and Planning. Each of these units plays a role in tailoring our marketing strategies and services to meet the unique requirements of our wide-ranging customer base ensuring a comprehensive and responsive approach to customer service and engagement.

This is a full-timeposition located in Fort Worth TX. For certain positions including this one employees can work one day per week remotely. Our leaders also foster a culture where work life balance which requires flexibility for when life happens is important and respected.

Travel is expected 10-20%.

Key responsibilities may include:

Manage business development of the wholesale domestic container program.

Oversee market management of wholesale intermodal to include program P&L cross-functional support with operations pricing and equipment management.

Lead cross-functional demand planning and fleet optimization projects across commercial finance and operational teams.

Manage negotiations of service contracts with key vendors to maximize value for BNSF.

Develop manage and grow the wholesale product offerings for BNSF domestic intermodal market.

Create strategies to maximize contribution and network efficiency.

Lead educational efforts across the organization around best practices and industry norms for a competitive wholesale product offering.

Daily work is conducted in an indoor office environment.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Able to work now and in the future without BNSFs assistance (whether monetary through sponsorship or otherwise) in obtaining maintaining or extending employment authorization (including H-1B STEM OPT/CPT or TN nonimmigrant status).
  • Bachelors degree with a preference in Business Marketing (B2B) Economics Supply Chain or Industrial Engineering.
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional work experience in sales/marketing rail operations or a related industry.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and analytical skills as well as effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong ability to quantitatively and objectively analyze business problemsand large data sets.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate clearly with internal and external customers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree.
  • Possess working knowledge of BNSFs and the railroad industrys operational business and interline system environment.
  • Able to analyze market supply and demand dynamics to develop effective pricing strategy and structure.
  • Able to evaluatecomplexmarket and competitive data to drive actionable projects and decisions.
  • Able to effectively listen and understand market and customer needs and provide creative solutions to drive profitable growth.
  • Able to independently recognize business opportunities and quickly turn those opportunities into opportunities for BNSF.
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite TSS GQL Tableau RAPID and Smart.
