Position: Fiscal Finance Analyst
Working Hours: Monday to Friday from 8:30 am - 5:00 Pm EST
Type of Contract: Independent Contractor Agreement
Salary Range: $1800 to $2700 Usd Monthly - Based on Experience

The Company is a consulting firm that assists agencies serving individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities including autism spectrum disorder.
Their primary goal is to maximize allowable reimbursements for programs enabling the provision of quality services. They offer services such as fiscal evaluations budget preparation cost monitoring grant writing and training workshops.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Excel Data Management
- Organize analyze and manipulate financial data in Excel spreadsheets.
- Create and maintain financial reports using formulas pivot tables and other Excel tools.
- Financial Statement Analysis
- Review and interpret Profit & Loss (P&L) statements.
- Regroup income statement items based on specific requirements for state forms.
- Expense Categorization
- Identify and classify key expense items such as rent and other overhead costs.
- Ensure accurate reporting and alignment with compliance standards.
- Data Validation
- Verify financial data accuracy before submission.
- Reconcile discrepancies and ensure alignment with regulatory forms.
- Compliance Support
- Assist in meeting state-specific financial reporting requirements.
- Prepare financial data for audits and inspections as needed.
- Documentation
- Maintain organized records of financial analysis and reporting processes.
- Document key findings and methodologies for internal use.
Requirements:
Educational Background
Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g. formulas pivot tables and data analysis).
Basic knowledge of financial statement components particularly Profit & Loss (P&L) statements.
Analytical Skills
Strong ability to interpret financial data and regroup income statement items for specific reporting needs. Attention to detail in categorizing expenses and ensuring data accuracy.
Communication Skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and senior analysts.
Clear written and verbal communication skills for documenting processes and findings.
Organizational Skills
Capacity to manage multiple tasks and meet reporting deadlines.
Maintain well-organized records and documentation for financial reporting processes.
Work Experience (Preferred)
Previous experience in financial analysis accounting or a related role is a plus.
Familiarity with state-specific financial forms and compliance is advantageous.
