Were looking for an Asset Technical Officer to join our Asset Management Team and play a key role in managing inspecting and maintaining Councils asset dataparticularly in lighting and office furniture management.

About the Role

The Asset Technical Officer supports the effective operation maintenance and improvement of Councils asset portfolio. You will assist in inspecting and collecting data on Council assets maintain accurate records in the Asset Information Management System (AIMS) and act as a key point of contact for lighting-related matters with TasNetworks and other stakeholders.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of fieldwork systems work and stakeholder engagement.

About You

You will bring to the role:

  • A certificate qualification in asset management or a related field or demonstrated equivalent experience (35 years).
  • Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) and a current drivers licence.
  • Experience or willingness to learn AIMS GIS financial systems and MS Office applications.
  • Knowledge ofor capacity to learnpublic lighting management including standards such as AS/NZS 1158.
  • Understanding of municipal asset data capture processes (attributes condition assessments).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Proven problemsolving skills sound decisionmaking and the ability to develop practical solutions.
  • Experience managing contracts and projects with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.

Position Hours:Full-Time 76 hours fortnight.
