Qualifications:

• High school degree required; additional secretarial training preferred.
• Knowledge proficiency and accuracy with word processing database spreadsheets Internet Google Drive (Collab) and technology for the office.
• Skills in office management organization communications with the public and with the staff.
• Knowledge of or willingness to learn about Adult Basic Education (ABE) and diploma programs.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Key to this position is a positive attitude and communicative skill in relating well with the public including English Language Learners on the phones in the reception area and with the staff.
• Demonstrated experience and proficiency working with a culturally ethnically racially and socioeconomically diverse school community is preferred.
• Experience with adult English Language and diverse learner populations is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member supporting other clerical and teaching staff.
• Familiarity with community resources.
• Flexibility in scheduling to include at least one evening a week.

Responsibilities:

• Assist lead teacher with daily office operations as well as communication to the staff learners and public.
• Screens telephone calls; responds to requests from learners teachers public high school counselors principals and district staff.
• Utilizes MARSS Infinite Campus ABE SiD Eleyo/Fee Pay FileMaker Pro and Schoology to create and maintain student records.
• Assist lead teacher with diploma orientations class schedules diploma reporting and database student scheduling and annual graduation ceremony.
• Assists with safety drills maintenance requests security access system Raptor supply/materials orders transportation requests and staff concerns.
• Coverage of front office including welcoming registering and assessing new diploma GED and English Language learners.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Compensation / Benefits:
RAVE Clerical Association ï½ Wage Group IV: $21.71 - $24.39 Hourly - According to contractual agreement (based on 2025-26 contract)
