The Role - Assistant Store Manager (ASM)
As ASM youll play a key leadership role in the day-to-day success of your store. Youll support the Store Manager by leading the team on the floor owning inventory processes and ensuring customers consistently receive an outstanding retail experience.
No cannabis experience is required. If you know retail well teach you the rest!
What youll do
Responsibilities
Retail Leadership & Team Development
- Lead by example and support a positive high-performance team culture
- Coach mentor and support retail staff through regular feedback and performance conversations
- Support hiring onboarding training and scheduling
- Step into leadership during the Store Managers absence
- Model best-in-class retail practices and coach the team to do the same
Customer Experience
- Ensure a welcoming inclusive and engaging in-store experience
- Lead the team to build strong relationships with customers and the local community
- Support merchandising promotions and in-store initiatives
Inventory & Operations
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and point-of-sale systems
- Lead inventory counts receiving transfers and product preparation
- Support loss prevention and inventory controls
- Ensure opening/closing procedures and daily store operations are executed correctly
Compliance & Standards
- Be a champion of company policies and procedures
- Ensure regulatory requirements and store standards are consistently met
- Be the benchmark for professionalism accuracy and accountability on the floor
Store Operations
- Hold high standards for store cleanliness and operational readiness
- Ensure opening/closing procedures are consistently being followed
