UW Medicine-Northwest- Food and Nutrition has an outstanding opportunity for a Food Service Worker.

WORK SCHEDULE

  • Part time 50% FTE 20 hours per week
  • Monday-Friday 2:30pm-6:30pm
  • Fixed duration; anticipated need is 6 months
  • Day Shift

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

The Nutrition and Food Services department supports UWMCs mission by delivering extraordinary experiences with compassionate evidence-based care unforgettable customer service and fresh and nutritious food for patients families and the greater community.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

  • Engage with patients and customers
  • Gain experience in our new behavioral health building
  • This position is primarily working as a cashier

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receive payment by credit cards cash or vouchers
  • Issue refunds
  • Answer customer questions
  • Maintain orderly and clean checkout areas
  • Greet customers entering cafeterias
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Make sure checkout stations are fully stocked
  • Prepare coffee
  • Restock merchandise
  • Clean and wipe tables

REQUIREMENTS

  • Possession of or eligible to obtain a Washington State Food Worker Card within two weeks of employment.

Compensation Benefits and Position Details

$21.52 hourly
