Job Summary

This well-known world famous long standing 5 star lodge is looking for an experienced Pastry Chef de Partie. The successful incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that all food preparation is consistently produced in accordance with company standards and the food styling.

DUTIES AND RESPONABILITIES

Support the Head Chef in the kitchen by taking charge of the pastry section.
stock Familiarise yourself with knowledge of products suppliers prices and current
standards and food styling guide. Ensure that all Pastry preparation is produced in accordance with company
control measures are utilised effectively. Manage food waste by ensuring that products issued in accordance with portion

Requirements

Matric
A formal or tertiary culinary qualification
3-5 years pastry experience in a 5-star safari-camp/lodge kitchen
including reading writing and speaking. English literacy level: Must have an excellent command of the English language
Use of Microsoft office (Word Excel Outlook) and stock control systems.

Proven experience in Camp / Ass. Lodge Manager or in a senior Lodge Management role within a luxury safari lodge Strong F&B background Strong leadership organisational and communications skills Strong guest relations and problem-solving abilities Ability to work under pressure in a remote setting High attention to detail and commitment to service excellence.
