Embroidery Computer Designer (Digitizer) creates modifies and converts artwork into machine-readable formats using software like Wilcom Pulse or Wings. They set stitch density sequence and underlay to produce high-quality embroidered designs for production ensuring technical accuracy color accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
Digitizing and Designing: Convert logos images and creative concepts into embroidery files (e.g. .DST .EMB).
Technical Setup: Determine appropriate stitch types (satin fill) density pull compensation and underlay based on fabric types.
Software Proficiency: Utilize embroidery software (Wilcom Pulse Tajima Hatch) to create and edit designs.
Sampling and Quality Control: Run samples check for errors (thread breakage misalignment) and obtain approval before bulk production.
Production Coordination: Ensure designs are optimized for multi-head machines minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency.
File Management: Organize and maintain a digital library of designs templates and technical specifications.

Required Skills and Qualifications
Software Skills: Proficiency in Wilcom Pulse Wings or Tajima software.
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of embroidery techniques fabric properties needles stabilizers and thread types.
Artistic Ability: Strong sense of color composition and detail.
Experience: Previous experience as a CAD designer or digitizer in the textile/apparel industry is often required.
Communication: Ability to work with clients and production teams to interpret artwork accurately.
