Job Summary

Our client is a university in Bangkok Thailand. Founded in 1968 and upgraded to university status in 1984 it is one of the larger Thai private universities. Undergraduate and graduate degree programs are offered through the universitys nine faculties the graduate school and the international college.


Position: HR Director

Job Overview:

HR Director is responsible for developing and executing human resource strategies that align with the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization. This includes talent management organizational and performance management training and development compensation and employee relations. The HR Director acts as a strategic partner to the executive team fostering a culture that supports the companys mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic HR Leadership:
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the executive leadership team providing insight and guidance on HR matters.
  • Talent Management:
    • Lead efforts in talent acquisition development retention and succession planning.
    • Develop programs to identify and cultivate high-potential employees.
  • Organizational Development:
    • Design and implement organizational development programs that enhance the companys culture improve employee engagement and increase productivity.
    • Oversee the development and execution of training and development programs.
  • Performance Management:
    • Develop and implement effective performance management systems and processes.
    • Ensure that performance metrics and KPIs are established and monitored.
  • Compensation and Benefits:
    • Design competitive compensation and benefits programs that attract and retain top talent.
    • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Employee Relations:
    • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
    • Address employee concerns and grievances in a fair and consistent manner.
  • HR Operations:
    • Oversee the HR departments operations and ensure that HR initiatives are efficiently executed.
    • Manage the HR budget and ensure cost-effective operations.
  • Compliance:
    • Ensure that the organization complies with all relevant employment laws and regulations.
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.


    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field; Masters degree preferred.

    Minimum of 15 years of progressive HR experience with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

    Strong knowledge of HR best practices employment law and regulations.

    Proven ability to develop and implement HR strategies that support business goals.

    Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills.

    Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

    Ability to build strong relationships and influence at all levels of the organization.
