Job Summary
Hire Resolves Client is looking for a Section Engineer (12-month Fixed Term Contract) to be based at an Underground Hard Rock Mine in Limpopo!
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with safety and efficient equipment operation
- Accept legal appointment as Section 2.13.1 Engineer in terms of the MHSA and ensure full compliance with all safety legal and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and manage underground engineering maintenance to ensure optimal equipment availability reliability and performance.
- Develop implement and monitor planned maintenance systems shutdown schedules and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee engineering teams (foremen artisans and operators) ensuring competence performance management and adherence to standards.
- Manage section budgets cost control spares and technical reporting to support safe and sustainable production targets.
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- GCC Mines and Works
- Grade 12
- 5-8 years engineering experience in underground conventional hard rock mining
- Proven experience in a 2.13.1 Legal Appointment
