Brockton School is a nondenominational coeducational Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12 independent school located in North Vancouver British Columbia. MYP Individuals and Societies (Social Studies) Teacher - Middle School (Gr 6/7) Full Time - 1.0 FTE 2026-27 School Year
Brockton School is seeking a full-time Middle School Individuals and Societies teacher to join our IB Middle Years Program (MYP) faculty. Reporting to the Divisional Director and working closely with the MYP Coordinator the successful candidate will focus on Social Studies within our strategically designed Grade 67 POD program supporting student transitions from elementary to high school. This role requires a highly collaborative educator who will engage deeply with teaching partners the Humanities Department Chair and the broader MYP team to deliver a dynamic and integrated curriculum.
Requirements:
BC Teaching Certificate : Certificate of Qualification or Independent School Teaching Certificate
Interest in being part of a dynamic and visionary IB school community
Experience in teaching Secondary School level BC English curriculum
Eligible to work in Canada
Ideal characteristics:
Experience in teaching (or demonstrated ability to teach) IB MYP coursework
Experience in bringing a diversity of voices and worldviews to classroom material and learning experiences including Indigenous local and global perspectives
Willingness to collaborate with colleagues to build Unit plans
3-5 years of successful teaching experience

Salary Range: Brockton Faculty Salary Grid
2025-26 Example - For TQS Category 5 (Step 0) $63302 to $104047 (Step 10 ) per annum
