Job Summary
- Helping clients receive services over the phone and in person.
- Engaging clients in beneficial activities.
- Client evaluation and information gathering
- Providing information and assistance to clients and their families.
- Making contact with and referring to other agencies and services
- Keeping accurate records and creating reports
- Attending training supervision and meetings.
- Keep an eye out for signs of child abuse.
- Offer crisis intervention.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in psychology social work or a related field is required.
- Working experience with clients affected by issues such as neglect child abuse domestic violence mental health issues and parental substance abuse.
- Capability to pay close attention to what social service clients say understand their points ask questions and not interrupt inappropriately.
- Understanding others reactions and why they react the way they do.
- Ability to weigh the relative costs and benefits of various social service and health-care interventions and select the best one.
- Capable of performing a variety of tasks on a computer.
- Word Excel Outlook and PowerPoint skills are required.
- Ability to remain calm and empathize with upset clients.
- Clinical social worker with a license.
- Capable of developing a treatment plan
