Incorporate initiatives that position future graduates to succeed in industries influenced by AI automation and other technological transformations. Strengthen partnerships between the department and industries especially in natural resources critical materials and energy to enhance research opportunities and student career development. Identify and pursue collaboration opportunities with industry stakeholders to address technical challenges and innovative solutions in these sectors. Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and align departmental goals with Montana Techs mission and strategic initiatives. Design and deliver computer science and software engineering courses at the undergraduate level to meet the evolving needs of students and industry. Develop and sustain a productive research program with an emphasis on securing external funding to advance research initiatives. Promote student experiential learning through industry partnerships and project-based opportunities.Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in Computer Science Software Engineering or a closely related field. Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate effectively within academic or professional environments. Strong oral and written communication skills. A proven record of academic accomplishments including research and teaching experience.Preferred Qualifications: Extensive experience in leadership roles within academia or industry. Expertise in accreditation processes and assessment practices. Specialized knowledge and experience in areas such as cybersecurity or software engineering. Demonstrated success in cultivating partnerships with industry to support research or development particularly those related to natural resources critical materials or energy projects.
