Job Summary

Fantastic Opportunity! Our client who is a leading provider of raised access floor systems data center airflow management and structural ceiling solutions is seeking a Production Team Leader for day shift & afternoon shift for their manufacturing facility located in Sydneys western suburbs.

  • One Role for aday Shift Team Leader 6:30am 2:30pm
  • One Role for an afternoon Shift Team Leader 2:30pm 11:00pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise coordinate and leada team of production workers to meet daily manufacturing targets.
  • Monitor performance quality and productivityacross assigned production lines or shifts.
  • Ensure adherence to NSW WHS legislation (Work Health and Safety Act 2011 & WHS Regulation 2017) andpromote a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular safety checksand implement control measures for risks such as plant manual handling and forklift operations.
  • Deliver team briefings allocate work tasks andmanage staffing levelsbased on production demands.
  • Ensurecompliance with company qualityassurance processes and escalate non-conformance issues.
  • Train and mentor production staff in work procedures safety practices andcontinuous improvement methods.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teamsfor prompt resolution of equipment issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of production output downtime and incident reports.
  • Contribute tolean manufacturing or 5S initiativesto improve workflow and reduce waste.
  • Support onboarding of new staffand participate in performance management processes.
  • Act as akey liaisonbetween front-line workers and management.

Experience & Qualifications Required:

  • 35 years experience in amanufacturing with 12 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Provenability to lead teamsin high-paced production environments.
  • Experience working withmanufacturing equipment shift operations and production planning.
  • Exposure to lean principles continuous improvementor OHS compliance initiatives.
  • Cert III or IV in Manufacturing Process Plant Operations Competitive Systems & Practices (Lean) or similar highly desirable
  • Cert IV in Leadership & Management advantageous
  • Understanding of WHS obligations under the NSW Work Health and Safety Act essential
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (e.g. ISO 9001) beneficial

Personal Attributes:

  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and direct others.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Basic computer proficiency (MS Excel reporting tools time & attendance systems).
  • High attention to detail particularly in quality control and documentation.
  • Capacity to remain calm under pressure and manage conflicting priorities.

Qualifications and Licences Required

  • Forklift Licence
  • Drivers Licence
