About This Job:
The Solution Architect is responsible for defining governing and delivering end-to-end technology architectures that accelerate innovation across Vegetables R&Dfrom breeding and trials to genomics phenotyping and data science. This role sets the target-state architecture ensures interoperability across platforms (including consistent adoption of in-house and third-party R&D platforms SaaS solutions and vendor-provided tools) and champions security scalability and compliance. Partnering closely with scientists breeders product owners data engineers and enterprise IT the architect turns strategic objectives into robust cost-effective and supportable solutions that improve data quality shorten cycle times and enable reproducible science at global scale.
The ideal candidate will:
- Architecture Strategy & Governance Shows ownership of roadmap and alignment with enterprise standards.
- Solution Design & Integration Focus on end-to-end architecture not just coding or implementation.
- Data & Analytics Architecture Emphasizes designing platforms and governance which is key for senior roles.
- Security Compliance & Risk Critical for enterprise-level architecture.
- Delivery Leadership & Lifecycle Management Indicates leadership in execution and guiding teams.
- Vendor & Partner Management Senior architects often manage external relationships and ensure compliance with architecture principles.
- Change Management & Adoption Driving adoption and consistency across global sites is a strategic responsibility.

Qualifications :
Critical technical professional and personal capabilities
- Enterprise & Cloud Architecture: Deep experience designing on Azure/AWS/GCP.
- Integration & APIs: Mastery of API management event streaming microservices.
- Data Platforms: Lakehouse/warehouse architectures orchestration and MLOps foundations.
- DevOps & Operability: CI/CD IaC container orchestration observability.
- Security & Governance: Role-based access control encryption compliance frameworks.
- Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with agricultural/life sciences R&D data.
- Experience: 10 years in solution/enterprise architecture roles; global program experience preferred.
