Biosolids Treatment Lead

AECOM is seeking a Biosolids Treatment Lead to join our Water & Wastewater team in Burnaby BC. This is a unique opportunity to step into a senior leadership role delivering high-profile municipal wastewater and biosolids infrastructure projects that support the growth and environmental stewardship of communities across British Columbia.

With your experience in municipal wastewater and solids treatment you bring strong technical expertise in biosolids process evaluation design equipment integration project delivery and commissioning. Youll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams partner with clients and regulators and work alongside AECOMs local and national wastewater specialists to deliver innovative sustainable solutions.

The work will include:

• Lead AECOM biosolids design on a key and once in a generation project.
• Supports oversees and coordinates engineering activities in the area of Biosolids Technology.
• Mentoring and guiding staff and project managers on technical solutions in the area of Biosolids Technology on projects.
• Understanding project requirements and recommend solutions required in the in the area of Biosolids Technology.
• Recognized expert in technical leadership within their domain or specialty area serving as the primary technical leader for their business area.
• Keeps informed of new developments and requirements affecting the organization for the purpose of recommending changes in programs and applications to ensure AECOM remains a leader in emerging technologies delivery methods funding mechanisms geopolitical issues and/or other industry drivers. 
• Uses creativity foresight and mature judgment in anticipating and solving unprecedented technical problems. 
• Provides technical expertise to region business line market sector and business development teams suggesting approaches and differentiators where applicable. 
• Provides visible industry and technical leadership within and outside of AECOM.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements

• BS in Civil Chemical Mechanical Engineering and 6 years of demonstrated experience in Biosolids Technology.
• Professional Engineers License or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Previous experience preparing process design criteria for anaerobic digestion system.
• Previous experience in leading the biosolids handling portion for municipal wastewater treatment plant expansion and upgrade design and construction projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters degree in civil Chemical Mechanical Engineering or related field and 12 years of demonstrated experience in Biosolids Technology.
•  Strong background in the development and application of Biosolids Technology such as:

          Municipal water and wastewater facilities operations and troubleshooting experience.

          Market knowledge in the Northeastern United States

          Enhanced/advanced anaerobic digestion.

          Incineration technologies

          Biosolids drying and energy recovery

          Biosolids gasification process
