Job Purpose The Facilities HVAC Technician is responsible for ensuring that the clinics and other property facilities at your assigned locations remain in good working order. This includes maintaining all HVAC units electrical appliances and outlets plumbing carpentry painting and locks. You will follow a planned preventive maintenance schedule and will follow up with Facilities Management after repairs are completed. In addition you will be responsible for contributing to the growth and success of HealthTexas while upholding our Mission Vision and Values. Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities - Taking service orders prioritizing them and handling each order in an efficient and timely manner.
- Interacting on a regular basis with Clinic Managers Clinic staff and Facilities Department.
- Repairing and replace commercial light fixtures performing other minor electrical work able to repair sheet rock tape and float and painting. Must be experienced in commercial plumbing.
- Repairing locks and making other miscellaneous repairs on your assigned property.
- Respond quickly to emergency situations summoning additional assistance as needed including nights weekends and holidays.
- Coordinate and perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimize business interruption and ensure that buildings systems and equipmentmeet or exceed their rated life.
- Perform minor construction as directed by Facilities Management/Facilities Coordinator.
- Monitor service providers as directed by Facilities Management.
- Ensure appropriate and consistent reporting of the facilities programs and issues to Facilities Management.
- Cover courier duties as needed (I.E. Interoffice mail)
- Light landscaping
- Participate in the On Call schedule once a month
- Able to lift 75 lbs.
- Dependable transportation for daily assignments
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience - 5 years or more experience in HVAC servicing and make readys projects
- Valid HVAC EPA 608 Certification
Education - High School diploma or equivalent
- Preferred qualifications
Work Hours Travel Requirements - Monday Friday 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. and as needed to complete projects.
- Travel to medical offices will be necessary for the purpose of providing clinic servicing.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements - This job operates in an office and outdoor setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers phones photocopiers scanners filing cabinets and fax machines. Daily tools such as drills augers small hand tools for construction and landscaping ladders and
