Environmental Monitoring Associate

We have an exciting opportunity to support our client in Environmental Monitoring.  The Associate Scientist will be responsible for performing aseptic sampling of viable and non-viable environmental and water.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform aseptic sampling of viable and non-viable environmental monitoring and water
• Operate the autoclave to ensure a reliable supply of sterile supplies
• Perform receiving duties
• Assists in QC archiving logbook management and records retention
• Performs basic metrology and housekeeping duties
• Maintains adequate inventories for tasks (e.g. reagents glassware media etc)
• May perform basic laboratory tests
• Undertake routine tests on products and materials and generate laboratory results using a range of analytical and microbial techniques against the agreed quality standards.
• May undertake non-routine testing under supervision.
• Conduct daily checks calibrate laboratory equipment and ensure system suitability of laboratory equipment in accordance with the schedule.
• Identify and implement steps to resolve equipment / testing issues within assigned area.
• Conduct documentation of results and analysis of issues using digital tools and applications as applicable.
• Accurately complete all data entry requirements using ALCOA principles
• Prepare solutions and standards accurately and with appropriate documentation

Qualifications :

BASIC MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associates degree in scientific discipline is required
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques
• Attention to detail

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience working in a laboratory setting
• Clean room experience
• Understanding of pharmaceuticals development and cGMP principles is a plus

Additional Information :

This position is Full-Time Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Frederick MD are encouraged to apply. The compensation range for this role is between $23-24.50/hr and is based on experience.
