A career in our tax credits and government incentives practice at PwC Canada offers the opportunity to help clients solve complex business issues related to tax credits and the context of our teams growth and the introduction of new complex tax credits you will act as a tax subject matter expert and assist in identifying and maximizing federal and provincial tax credits and incentives to support clients business objectives. You will manage end-to-end engagements and client relationships strengthen the teams tax expertise and actively contribute to the growth of the practice.Meaningful workyoullbe part of:
As atax credits and government incentivesManageryoullwork with a team of professionals to help our clients with the preparation of their taxcredits and governmentincentivesclaims. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead complex tax credits and government incentives engagements from end-to-end includingidentifyingrelevant programs applicable to clients projects and preparing tax forms incentives applications and supporting documentation
Conduct in-depth tax research prepare technical positions analyzeinterpretand apply newly enacted or evolving tax legislation translating it into practical client solutions(includingfederal clean economy investment tax creditsQuebec Incentive for the commercialization of innovations C3I etc.)
Manage audits and taxauthoritiesinteractions
Manage a portfolio of clients including direct communication understanding business needs and proactive file follow-up whilemaintaininga high levelof quality and professional standards
Simplify complex messagesand tax legislationand communicate key insights clearly to diverse audiences
Collaborate closelywith other members of the teamand other departments
Contribute to the growth and development of the tax credits and government incentives practice particularly in response to evolving tax measures and client needs
Stay informed on globaland localtrends and their impact on clients to shape strategic perspectives
Experiencesand skillsyoulluse to solve
Advanced education in tax ideally amasters degree in taxationor CPA In-depth Tax Course
5 to 10 years of relevant experience in tax (prior specialized experience in tax credits is not mandatorybut preferred)
Strong ability to analyzeand interpretcomplex tax legislation
High levelof autonomyinitiativeand ability to manage complex files end-to-end
Strong client service and advisory skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to thrive in a consultingenvironmentwith multiple concurrent mandates
Strong interpersonal skills
Good communicationand presentation skills
Ability to think strategically work independently and contribute to the team
The successful candidaterequiresfluency in English in addition to French as they willbe requiredto support or collaborate with English-speaking clients colleagues and/or stakeholdersduringtheir employment with PwC Canada

The salary range for this position is $84700 - $134700. The posted salary rangerepresentsthe expected hiring range for PwC locations in major citycentres. Given our national recruiting approach ranges may vary for positions in other locations.
