Introduction:
Located at the entrance of the historic estate and gardens of George Washington The Mount Vernon Inn Restaurant is looking for a Restaurant Operations Manager to oversee the daily lunch and dinner service. This key role willshape our visitors experience by maintaining the restaurants appearance hiring and training quality staff and ensuring the best possible customer addition to a busy lunch and dinner service we have a robust catering and special events component. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of strong leadership skills hospitality expertise and operational acumen to drive the restaurants success and deliver an outstanding dining experience.
Compensation:
Starting at $60000.
Expected Hours:
40 hours/week. This Position requires availability for morning and/or evening shiftsweekends and holidays.

Position Specific Responsibilities:
- Oversee and facilitate all aspects of daytime and nighttime restaurant operation/floor management to include:Hiring training and all management duties for staff personnel
- Guest/Client relations including ensuring guest satisfaction product quality and cost control standards
- Provide cash and supplies security accountability and disbursement to staff
- Provide sales and service to tour groups and private parties including corporate and social events
- Apply sanitation/cleanliness standards for positive restaurant appearance
- Ensure established organization policies and procedures are followed
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years restaurant management experience required
- Strong organization and leadership skills
- ServSafe Certified is a plus
- Must be: Team orientedvery organized detail oriented and flexible
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office suite
- Ability to climb stairs and stand and/or walk for hours at a time
- Must work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Able to lift at least 20 pounds
