Overview
Location: GP Surgery Milton Keynes Area
Days: Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages ensuring their well-being and maintaining high clinical standards.
- Diagnose treat and manage a wide variety of illnesses diseases and conditions.
- Conduct routine check-ups screenings and health assessments while promoting preventative medicine.
- Build lasting relationships with patients offering thoughtful and empathetic care while respecting cultural and individual differences.
- Prescribe appropriate medication and treatments in compliance with medical guidelines safeguarding patient safety at all times.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nurses specialists and administrative staff to provide coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records in electronic health systems.
- Promote health education and awareness on lifestyle habits diet and chronic disease management for patients and their families.
- Participate in quality improvement processes and training initiatives to stay current with medical sciences and promote ongoing learning across the team.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) and board certification in General Practice or Family Medicine.
- Proven experience as a practicing physician specializing in general or family medicine.
- Strong diagnostic decision-making and clinical skills.
- A commitment to patient confidentiality ethics and compassionate care delivery.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with colleagues and empower patients.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and technological advancements in patient care.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance a busy case load in a fast-paced environment.
Day-to-Day
Your day-to-day responsibilities as a General Practitioner will include:
- Begin the day by reviewing patient charts and preparing for scheduled appointments.
- Conduct consultations for a wide variety of medical concerns performing physical examinations where necessary.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work imaging or other medical procedures.
- Meet with patients to discuss diagnoses treatment plans or preventative strategies to maintain their health.
- Follow up on patient progress monitor ongoing treatments and adjust care plans as needed.
- Collaborate with specialists or refer patients to relevant healthcare providers for advanced care.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to medical trainees or staff as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with new medical developments by attending professional development programs.
- Provide emergency care or triage services to walk-in patients if required.
