About the role:
This role will partner closely with key licensors and sports federations as the day to day relationship owner. The individual will ensure end to end delivery of contractual obligations support rights exploitation and drive key business outcomes through close collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Own day to day engagement with licensors as the key point of contact.
- Program manage delivery of media rights obligations and business asks across Content Marketing Sales Product & Tech Scheduling Ops and Legal.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with all contractual commitments across broadcast marketing and commercial elements.
- Manage approvals and workflows for key deliverables working with licensors and internal teams to maximise exploitation of rights for viewership and monetisation.
- Create and share exploitation plans calendars and other required reporting with licensors.
- Lead monthly/quarterly performance reviews and share updates as required.
- Advise licensors on how best to leverage our TV and digital platforms.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen the partnership and solve issues proactively.
- Support commercial value creation through a strong working understanding of the underlying rights agreements.
Preferred profile
- 57 years of relevant experience in media rights exploitation or partnerships within sports (federations teams broadcasters sports marketing agencies).
- Strong cross functional coordination skills and an ability to drive outcomes across multiple internal teams.
- Strong stakeholder management with comfort engaging senior counterparts externally and internally.
- Working familiarity with contracts and rights frameworks with an understanding of IP protection and compliance.
- Strong program management and problem solving ability. Ability to operate independently with a high ownership mindset.
- Structured detail oriented and execution focused.
- Strong interest and understanding of live sports and the sports media ecosystem.
- MBA from a leading business school is a plus.
