Location: While this position is posted in a specific location all of Oysters positions are fully remote and you can work from home. Forever. To create the best experience this role requires you to be within 1/ -4 UTC.

Role Summary

Youll join the Engineering team at Oyster to drive company-wide efficiency through AI and workflow this role youll own internal AI automations built primarily with n8n and complementary tools helping teams reduce manual work streamline processes and use AI safely in their day-to-day workflows. While you will mainly rely on n8ns pre-built nodes you will also be expected to write custom code whenever standard integrations are not enough.

Youll design operate and continuously improve the automation layer that connects our tools data and AI models across the company with a focus on reliability scalability security and long-term sustainability. Working closely with Product Engineering and Business Units youll turn evolving business needs into secure compliant and production-ready automations that scale as Oyster grows.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive efficiency with AI automations in n8n Build ship document and improve workflows that connect tools data and AI models to automate manual processes across departments.

• Keep automations running smoothly Use error handling retries alerts and logging to catch issues early and fix them fast.

• Keep AI reliable and safe to use Help teams get consistent AI results while keeping data secure and compliant.

• Make automations usable and sustainable Help teams adopt automations and keep them working well as needs change.

• Own internal n8n excellence Define best practices and continuously improve how n8n is used across teams.

Core Requirements

• Hands-on experience building automation workflows (n8n or similar tools) with 13 years of relevant experience in automation internal tools or operations-focused roles

• Familiarity with APIs webhooks authentication methods and data flows between systems

• Experience using Large Language Models (LLMs) in practical workflows (prompting structured outputs basic validation)

• Ability to build and debug multi-step workflows with conditional logic

• Strong communication skills and comfort working with both technical and non-technical partners

• A builder mindset: you enjoy turning manual or repetitive processes into automated workflows

• Familiarity with JavaScript or Python for simple code-based automation steps

• BONUS Basic SQL for querying or inspecting data

• BONUS Exposure to RAG concepts or working with structured and unstructured data sources

• BONUS Experience integrating common SaaS tools (e.g. CRM data support or collaboration tools)

• BONUS Experience with other automation tools apart from n8n (Zapier Make etc)

• BONUS Experience with SaaS ecosystem tools (Slack Zendesk Hubspot etc)

Youll also need

• A reliable home internet connection and fluency in both written and spoken English
