Whats the role
Youll join Westpacs Corporate & Institutional Banking team as a senior relationship leader within our Energy Infrastructure & Resources portfolio. Based in Sydney or Melbourne this full-time role puts you at the centre of some of Australias most significant businesses working closely with executive decision makers to support their financing growth and transition priorities.
Youll own and grow a portfolio of energy and infrastructure clients acting as a trusted banking partner across their full range of needs. Day to day that means building strong long-term relationships understanding what matters most to each client and bringing together the right expertise from across Westpac to deliver practical wellconsidered solutions.
Youll also play a key role in shaping our approach to the evolving energy and infrastructure landscape including renewables digital infrastructure and sustainability while maintaining strong credit judgement and a clear risk mindset. Its a role where commercial thinking relationship depth and sector insight come together to make a real impact.
What will set you apart from other applicants is your direct experience with a credit rating agency such as Moodys Global Ratings Fitch Ratings and S&P Global Ratings etc.
What do I need
To succeed in this role youll bring a strong mix of technical capability commercial insight and collaborative energy. Heres what you need:
- Experience managing senior client relationships within corporate or institutional banking and elevating capability across the team. Experience within a rating agency will be highly desirable.
- A solid understanding of the Australian energy and infrastructure landscape including sustainability considerations delivering real value for our clients by leaning into shared knowledge using data insights and expertise.
- A good understanding of the corporate loan market common credit terms and banking products.
- Ability to write high quality credit submissions including risk analysis and financial forecasting be able to present and navigate submissions throughthe banks risk management decision process with a focus ondelivering safely and acting upon well-understood risks and tailored solutions.
- A collaborative and deep sense of owning it with a commitment to continuous improvement balance sheet and equity growth whilst tempered with engagement across product risk and internal stakeholder teams.
- Be known for creating leverage through people and partnerships across product risk and key stakeholders via clear and confident communication skills.
