Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide exceptional in-home and in Livermore. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about improving the quality of life for seniors individuals with disabilities and those requiring specialized care. Candidates will play a vital role in assisting clients with daily activities ensuring their safety and promoting independence within a respectful and caring environment.
Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing dressing grooming and mobility support
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients fostering a positive environment
- Support clients with mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of living spaces through light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and laundry
- Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare standards and regulations
- Follow established care plans and adapt to individual client needs while ensuring safety protocols are maintained
Skills
- Experience with home & community care assisted living or long-term care environments preferred
- Current HCA or CNA certification
- Knowledge of patient observation monitoring vital signs and dementia or Alzheimers care techniques
- Ability to assist with complex medical needs such as medication administration and patient monitoring
- Certifications such as CPR First Aid HIPAA compliance and hospice or nursing home experience are highly desirable
- Strong communication skills for working effectively with clients families and healthcare teams
- Compassionate attitude with patience for working with seniors individuals with developmental disabilities or autism and those requiring memory or dementia care
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and work independently in a home or community setting
- Experience working with diverse populations including residents with disabilities or special needs is a plus
