Job Description:
An HR Assistantprovides crucial administrative support to the Human Resources department handling tasks like maintaining employee records assisting with recruitment (posting jobs scheduling interviews) coordinating onboarding/offboarding processing payroll managing HR databases (HRIS) and serving as a contact for employee inquiries ensuring smooth daily operations and compliance with policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment Support:Posting job openings screening resumes scheduling interviews conducting reference checks and preparing offer letters.
- Employee Records:Maintaining and updating employee files databases and HR Information Systems (HRIS).
- Onboarding & Offboarding:Coordinating new hire orientations training sessions and managing termination paperwork.
- Payroll & Benefits:Assisting with payroll processing tracking attendance/leave and handling basic benefits administration.
- Administrative Duties:Scheduling meetings managing HR calendars handling correspondence and generating HR reports.
- Employee Support:Acting as a first point of contact for employee questions complaints and directing them to appropriate resources.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong organizational time management and communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
- Proficiency with MS Office email and HR software.
- Basic understanding of labor laws and HR best practices.
- A degree in HR or a related field and relevant experience are often required.
