Position Criteria:
- Valid Iowa teaching license required
- 5-8 MSGeneralistor MS Language Arts or MS Math or K-8 Reading or K-8 Math
- Combination of math and literacy (reading/language arts) certification preferred
Performance Criteria:
- Targeted intervention support and progress monitoring for math and reading.
- Pull-out and push-in services in math and language arts.
- Family/community liaisons for school.
- Advocate for students success in all areas (academics social/emotional behavior).
- Ongoing collaboration with teachers and administrators.
- Delivery of professional development in a variety of ways.
- Implementation of CCRS and building behavior expectations.
- Support implementation ofMTSS process
- Successful experience of implementing research-based instructional practices including implementation of the Framework for Meeting the Needs of All Learners.
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development as described in the Iowa Professional Development Standards and support of the Iowa Teaching Standards as the foundation from which to build that ongoing growth plan.
- Ability to involve parents and the community in supporting student learning and healthy development.
- Knowledge of characteristics of at-risk learners.
- Evidence of initiative and motivation.
