The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 with potential involvement in Key Stage 5 depending on specialism. Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons that develop numeracy problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

• Preparing students effectively for GCSE and other examinations ensuring they meet academic targets.

• Monitoring assessing and reporting on student progress and providing constructive feedback.

• Contributing to curriculum planning resource development and departmental initiatives.

• Supporting enrichment activities interventions and extracurricular Maths events.

• Maintaining high standards of behaviour classroom management and student engagement.

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with strong knowledge of the Maths curriculum.

• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.

• Ability to inspire students of all abilities to achieve their potential.

• Commitment to safeguarding inclusion and promoting positive student wellbeing.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively within the department and across the school.
