Role Overview
- Production planner for slip joint (tulip and tripod) operations.
- Plans production lines based on raw material availability customer requirements and production strategies.
- Reviews weekly deliveries to Villagrán and updates the Master Schedule (MS).
- Manages 13-week production requirements per line and supports Sales & Inventory Operations Planning (SIOP).
- Provides a 2-year production vision per manufacturing line.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze SIOP plans to design and update value stream parameters (intervals supermarket sizing line loading etc.)
- Develop the weekly Master Schedule (MS).
- Identify potential risks in material flow and coordinate containment and escalation actions.
- Support value stream KPIs such as DSA Lead Time Inventory Turns and Intervals.
- Drive continuous improvement across the value stream processes.
- Coordinate with Material Planning to ensure raw material and subcontract availability.
- Support the development of visual management tools for supermarket health monitoring.
- Contribute to reducing lost time due to material shortages (LTA).
- Create weekly production plans for production and forging areas.
- Align budget volume planning with the manufacturing team.
Experience Required
- 3 years of experience in production planning material flow and inventory management.
- Experience in the automotive industry (required).
- Knowledge of production line processes to execute manufacturing plans.
- Experience with MFG Pro and QAD systems.
- 23 years of experience managing inventory.
- Strong understanding of strategic planning tools (SIOP / MS).
- Languages: IntermediateAdvanced English.
