Job Summary

Job Description:

Drafting & Negotiation: Drafting and negotiating deals along with assisting in high-stakes agreements including 360-degree artist deals multi-territory distribution Agreements and assignment agreement etc.
Contract Execution & Deal Memos: Oversee the formal execution of all contracts; immediately following a deal you will prepare and distribute internal deal memos to A&R Finance Business and Marketing teams to ensure total alignment on legal and commercial obligations.
Rights Database Management: Master and manage internal software (such as Warners rights database systems) to ensure all contractual terms rights periods and territories are accurately ingested and maintained.
Lifecycle & Performance Tracking: Act as the primary owner of the contract portfolio; providing regular deal overviews regarding expirations and options while ensuring that Minimum Product Requirements (MPR) are consistently achieved through regular team meetings.
Copyright Society Liaison: Work with copyright societies (e.g. IPRS PPL etc. ) to manage work registrations resolve metadata conflicts and ensure the labels repertoire is fully protected and monetized.
Platform Policy Expert: Maintain expert-level knowledge of the guidelines and legal policies of platforms like YouTube Spotify and Apple Music to advise on rights management and infringement.
Cross-Functional rolw: Serve as the legal liaison for all departments.
