ING Australias growing Wholesale Bank is seeking a Director to join our Infrastructure Sector team based in Sydney.
Infrastructure is a global sector platform which provides financial solutions to leading market participants from its regional hubs in London New York and Sydney. The key focus of the APAC Infrastructure Sector team is to increase and deepen strategic dialogue with our client base and originate high value mandates across the Banks product offering including project/structured finance corporate finance debt capital markets and financial markets.
This is a senior client facing role for an entrepreneurial individual who will have responsibility for the Infrastructure sector business across a designated client base in Australia originating inbound and outbound opportunities.
Given the seniority of the role the individual is expected to have established relationships in the market and the capability and experience to lead multi-product and cross-border deal teams.

What youll do
- Build and manage relationships with key Infrastructure sector clients working closely with product partners across the business
- Originate transactions aligned to the APAC Infrastructure strategy focusing on returnaccretive opportunities and maintaining regular client engagement
- Lead the preparation of pitches and marketing materials that combine internal insights market analysis and sector trends to win new mandates
- Oversee deal execution by coordinating with Risk Legal Compliance and product partners preparing credit and commercial materials and driving negotiations to financial close
- Lead and manage KYC processes for the designated client base ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Support broader business development through coaching junior talent contributing to team initiatives and embracing organisational change and policy requirements
What were looking for
- 10 years of client facing experience in the financial sector in an international wholesale banking environment
- Tertiary Degree in a relevant field
- Experience in the infrastructure sector and understanding of institutional banking products
- Client-centric approach paired with exceptional analytical and judgement skills
- Strong presentation and communication skills and a track record of building relationships
- Team oriented
- Self-motivated and willing to work in a deal oriented and deadline driven environment
- Strong work ethic positive attitude and professional demeanor
