UXUI Designer (Part-time, Contract)

About the Role

We are looking for a talented contract UX/UI Designer to enhance the digital shopping experience on during a pivotal year for our roadmap. This role requires strong visual/UI craftsmanship solid UX fundamentals and comfort in working within an established design system. This role is ideal for a designer early in their career (23 years of experience) who is passionate about clean consistent interfaces and wants to grow within a senior-led team.

You will be part of a small senior-led UX/UI team that values clarity collaboration and quality. This position offers hands-on design work where you can take pride in precise execution while tackling well-defined problems. Your creative input will be welcome as we aim to improve the overall experience making this an ideal opportunity for a designer passionate about producing thoughtful work and refining details to expedite team progress without unnecessary processes.

Youll support small to mid-sized initiatives by applying existing design system components crafting production-ready designs and assisting with iterative site improvements. Youll also help with QA polish and be exposed to industry tools like FullStory and benchmarking platforms. This role offers the chance to learn in a structured yet fast-moving environment contributing to a beloved eCommerce brand.

Youll Make a Difference By

• Designing UX and UI solutions for defined enhancements across using our established design system
• Assisting with visual/QA updates and polish during handoff and implementation phases
• Collaborating with senior designers to support larger projects through scoped handoffs and feedback loops
• Applying FullStory benchmarking and analytics inputs to inform design decisions (training provided)
• Spotting and documenting design inconsistencies or gaps in the current system for senior review
• Using lightweight tools (including AI-based workflows) to improve design speed or accuracy
• Assisting with other responsibilities based on business needs

About You

• 2-3 years of professional experience in UX/UI design within eCommerce or digital product environments.
• A strong portfolio showcasing high-quality UI craftsmanship attention to detail and consistency.
• Proficiency in Figma and familiarity with Adobe tools.
• Experience in working with or contributing to design systems and executing established patterns with a high-quality standard.
• Familiarity with usability testing analytics or session-replay tools like FullStory.
• A self-motivated individual who can work independently while following senior-led design direction.
• Strong communication skills with a capacity to work cross-functionally.
• A proactive reliable executor who values doing things the right way and is passionate about delivering high-quality results.

The hourly range for this position is $40.00-45.00 per hour.

The salary is determined by the education experience knowledge skills and abilities of the applicant internal equity and alignment with market data for geographic locations.
