About the role:
The Deputy General Manager (Operations) is a senior leadership role responsible for the day-to-day management and strategic execution of healthcare-related operational projects. This position involves overseeing the Impact Division managing large-scale geographical programs and ensuring total customer satisfaction while maintaining strict adherence to quality and budget constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership & Management
- Direct Management: Oversee the Impact Division team including Project Managers and Field Project Coordinators.
- Talent Acquisition: Define recruitment requirements and lead the hiring process for project teams.
- Performance: Manage staffing and conduct performance appraisals to ensure team efficiency and growth.
2. Project Planning & Strategy:
- Project Definition: Collaborate with senior management to define project objectives goals strategies and expected outcomes.
- Planning: Build comprehensive project schedules and management plans to ensure structured execution.
- Innovation: Support the development of new solutions Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and product requirements.
3. Operational Execution:
- Implementation: Manage the execution of existing and new Impact projects ensuring they are delivered within budget and to high quality standards.
- Reporting: Compile and file necessary reports for funding agencies customers and regulatory authorities.
- Analysis: Perform periodic performance analysis and progress reporting to maintain project transparency.
4. Partnership & Stakeholder Relations
- Network Building: Build and manage relations with various partners including nursing hospital and medicine supply partners.
- Performance Monitoring: Manage the operational performance of vendors and partners to ensure project success.
- Compliance: Ensure all projects meet regulatory legal and statutory requirements as per organizational and funder standards.
5. Business Development & Representation
- Client Growth: Manage existing customer relationships to secure repeat business through satisfactory project delivery.
- Acquisition: Support management in acquiring new customers generating proposals and managing business development agencies.
- Market Presence: Represent the organization at conferences and industry events.
- Feedback Loop: Provide customer and competition feedback to internal development teams for continuous improvement.
Required Experience Skills & Qualifications

Education: Engineering Science or Medical Graduate. Must hold a Masters degree in Social Sciences Healthcare Management or Hospital Administration from a reputed institution.

Experience: At least 10 years of relevant experience in managing and successfully executing healthcare-related operational projects at a significant geographical scale.

Technical Skills: Proven expertise in project management personnel management budget oversight and internal/customer reporting.

Competencies: Strong strategic thinking decision-making under pressure and the ability to manage change effectively.

Communication: Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi.
- Travel: This role requires extensive travel to monitor on-ground progress and meet stakeholders.
