A growing construction contractor delivering large-scale refurbishment works across MOD and housing association properties is looking to appoint a Project Manager to oversee live sites in Woolwich.

This is a hands-on site-based role. We are looking for someone comfortable being on the ground solving problems in real time and driving delivery - not a desk-based project manager.

You will take ownership of programmes coordinate with site managers and ensure projects stay on track on budget and compliant.

The Role

Manage and control project programmes
Work closely with Site Managers to plan daily and weekly outputs
Ensure labour materials and resources are correctly allocated
Set clear expectations on what needs to be achieved each day
Monitor progress and keep works on schedule
Identify delays early and implement recovery plans
Maintain oversight of costs timelines and resource planning
Ensure projects meet compliance and quality standards
Work closely with senior leadership on delivery and reporting

This role is delivery-focused and requires someone confident leading from the front on active construction sites.

What Were Looking For

Several years experience as a Construction Project Manager
Strong understanding of site operations and programme management
Commercial awareness - able to understand budgets costs and labour planning
Confident working with Site Managers and subcontractors
Ability to problem solve and make decisions quickly
Strong organisational and leadership skills
CSCS card
Full UK driving licence
Able to pass a DBS check
